June's Journey

I'm currently working on Wooga's new hidden object game, June's Journey and it's in soft launch in a few countries, with a few chapters available.  This time round I've been learning Modo, so many of these scenes were first built in 3D, and then over painted in Photoshop - it's a super fun process! This page will be updated as more chapters are available publicly. :)

Free time sketches

A collection of random concepts I've made, just practising and for fun. :)

Jelly Splash, 2015-2016

So far for Jelly Splash I've made a few maps that are used in a bonus map mission, as well as a few icons used for special occasions that will appear in the app store (I will update this as soon as it's out) It's great fun, and is refreshing to work in a cute style. :) Get playing, it's a very fun addictive game!

BB8 Adventures

I took part in the 2016 'March of the Robots' theme online for fun, and thought I'd base it on 'what BB8 did after Poe left him on Jakku' from Star Wars The Force Awakens. :) BB8's Adventures! Basically just a series of desert landscape speed paints - it was great fun to do!

Agent Alice, 2014-2015

As well as doing many of the environment concepts, I also worked on the puzzles within the game. :)
Similar to Pearl's Peril, it's a hidden object game, and we spent roughly a day or more on the concepts before handing them over to an out sourcing studio who fully rendered them. It's great fun to work on! Alice is always travelling to great location!

Crytek work

I worked at Crytek for 4.5 years, firstly in the QA department, testing Crysis 1, then as a storyboard/concept artist on Crysis 2, and some very early Crysis 3 concepts. The Crysis 2 work is looking a bit 'old' to me now, but I think the Crysis 3 concepts have stood the test of time a bit better!

Pearl's Peril, 2013-2014

Whilst working at Wooga, I have the great chance to work on a successful hidden object game, called Pearl's Peril (check it out! It's available on Facebook and ipad) I worked on the concepts for the background environments for the hidden object scenes themselves, and also occasionally on the items for the scenes too.

Each concept I worked on for roughly a day or a bit more; it was more to set the mood and scene for the outsourcers, who would then render it fully. When designing the scenes, it was all with the idea of object placement in mind, so the composition is different from how I would normally concept such scenes. :) There were so many I worked on here, but here is a 'small' selection!

All concepts do not belong to me and are copyright of Wooga.

Sketchbook sketches

I post a lot of sketches and doodles on instagram (follow me lady_astrid !) and so I thought I'd share a few here. :) I'm a big fan of Pentel pens and Copic markers.

Fifth Planet Games

I worked on some cards briefly for the online game Dawn of Dragons by Fifth Planet games - they all had to be made within a day, was fast work. As well as characters I also made chests, rings etc, but here is a small selection of what I worked on.

Baking!

So much baking! I have a bit of a sweet tooth, and in recent years have really got into baking, whether it be cupcakes, cakes, cookies or loaves! Every weekend I bake a batch of cupcakes for the team at work. :)
